During the Brigada Eskwela 2022 Kick-Off program, Hon. Gerard I. Chan, CESO I, Undersecretary for Legislative Affairs and International Cooperation Office relayed the three components of this year's edition of the said event. These are the following:
1. Brigada Eskwela sa Paghahanda- this consists of school maintenance and minor to medium repair activities to prepare schools in time for the opening of in-person classes.
2. Brigada Eskwela Plus- this consists of the a year-round partnership activities focusing on community- led efforts to improve learner participation and reduce dropouts, improve learner performance and supports the Department's existing programs and projects to ensure school safety and preparedness. This include the Home Learning Spaces program, the Wash in School program, and the Gulayan sa Paaralan program as well as other advocacy programs on health awareness.
3. Brigada Pagbasa- this is an after school reading remediation program in response to the Hamon: Bawat Bata Bumabasa of the 3Bs initiative. The Brigada Pagbasa aims to make every learner a reader by engaging partners and stakeholders in promoting a culture of reading.
