The Department of Education has issued DepEd Order No. 34, s. 2022 otherwise known as School Calendar and Activities for the School Year 2022-2023. The school year shall start on August 22, 2022 and shall end on July 7, 2023 with a total of 203 days.
Based on the said Order, the department is committed to the resumption of 5 days in-person classes amid the presence of COVID-19 pandemic. Furthermore, the department will conduct Brigada Eskwela from August 1 to 26, and Oplan Balik Eskwela on August 15 to prepare for the opening of classes.
The enrollment in public schools shall begin on July 25 and shall end on August 22. The Department gives schools ample time to have transition for the 5 days in-person classes by implementing 5 days of in-person classes, blended learning modality with 3 days of in-person classes and 2 days of distance learning or full distance learning. These options are allowed to be implemented until October 31, 2022 as full face-to-face classes in public and private schools shall begin on November 2, 2022.
