In an official statement posted on the Department of Education's website and Facebook page, the 900,000 teachers of the bureaucracy will receive Php 1,000 incentive benefit on World Teachers' Day this year.
It was stated in the statement that President Rodrigo Roa Duterte has approved the release of the World Teachers' Day Incentive Benefit (WTDIB) with a total cost of Php 910 million. DepEd will issue the guidelines in granting the said benefit.
The department expressed its gratitude to its teaching force who are addressing the challenges in the education sector brought by the pandemic especially in the implementation of distance learning.
