The Department of Education posted the pre- registration details on the launching of Professional Development Program on Assessment and Emerging Literacies with Focus on the Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA) yesterday on its official Facebook page.
Based on the post, every public Junior High School is requested to send three teachers, with one teacher each for Math, Science, and English specializations, to join the training program. The participants must be teaching either in Grade 8 or Grade 9.
The said program aims to improve teachers' assessment literacy and content knowledge for them to align their classroom practice considering the emerging literacies measured by the international assessments.
Schools division and regional offices are given instructions on the selection of the participants for the said training program. Deadline for encoding the details of the participants is on August 31, 2021. For more details, please read this Facebook post.
