DepEd to conduct 2nd Virtual INSET



The Department of Education (DepEd) posted a memorandum on its Facebook page this morning about the Second Virtual In- Service Training (VINSET) which is scheduled on August 30 to September 3, 2021. 

Based on the OUA Memo 00-0821-0073, the Offices of the Undersecretaries for Administration (OUA), Curriculum and Instruction (OUCI) and Field Operations (OUFU), through the Information and Communications and Technology Services- Educational Technology (ICTS- EdTech) Unit are spearheading the said event. 

This training aims to capacitate teachers in utilizing different online modality platforms which are implemented by the department such as DepEd Learning Management System and DepEd Commons. Teachers will be taught on how to handle technology tools which are useful in lesson delivery. Moreover, the teachers will be oriented on the various components of cyber wellness, emerging applications, and acquisition of international certificates under Microsoft, Adobe, and Google. 

The memorandum included a tentative schedule and programme. Some of the topics to be discussed are advantages of of using Open Educational Resources (OERs), radio and TV- based instructions, and creative teaching and teaching creativity for distance/ remote learning.
