To my learners, here are your tasks you need to fulfill this week. You can have a full look of the weekly home learning plan here. Printed copies will be given next week. Please read the plan thoroughly.
Check the quality and the quantity of your Self- Learning Module. Report if there are missing pages or there are problems on readability.
For this week, you will focus on the remaining patterns of written across disciplines: (1) exemplification and classification; (2) comparison and contrast; (3) cause and effect; (4) problem- solution; and (5) persuasion/ persuasive.
Turn your SLM to Page 10. Start the week studying Exemplification and Classification. Read the introduction. Then, read What’s In to help you understand the fourth pattern.
Answer What’s New activity from Page 10 to 11. You need to read a passage and complete the table.
Read What is It. You need to give time on learning transitional devices or signals.
Answer What I Can Do task on Page 12. Write your output on a separate sheet of paper.
After doing your tasks under the fourth pattern, proceed to Lesson 5 Comparison and Contrast. Read the introductory paragraph. Then, read What’s In to know more about the said pattern.
Do What’s New activity on Page 13. You need to draw a Venn Diagram.
Read What is It to understand more about comparison and contrast.
Answer Additional Activities task on Page 15. Focus on comparing fast food chains and fine dining restaurants. If ever you have not gone to fine dining restaurants, try to compare fast food chains with carinderia or eatery. Write five to seven sentences for this. The rubric in the What I Can Do will be used.
After doing your tasks under Lesson 5, proceed to Lesson 6 Cause and Effect. Read the introductory paragraph and What’s In paragraphs.
Answer the What’s New Task on Page 15. Do it on a separate sheet of paper.
Read What is It and answer What’s More on Page 16. Do it on a separate sheet of paper.
Do What I Can Do task on Page 16. You need to write a paragraph on a piece of paper.
After doing your tasks on Lesson 6, proceed to Lesson 7 Problem- Solution on Page 17. Read the introductory paragraph and What’s In paragraph.
Read the text under What’s New on Page 17. You need to identify the problem/s and solution/s cited in the passage.
Study the contents about problem-solution from Page 17 to 18. Answer What I Have Learned on Page 18.
Answer Additional Activities on Page 19.
After doing your tasks under Lesson 7, proceed to Lesson 8 Persuasion. Read the introductory paragraph and What’s In paragraphs.
Do What’s New task on Page 19. Do it on a separate sheet of paper.
Have a deep understanding on persuasive text. Read text on What is It on Pages 19 and 20. Then, read the text on What’s More portion on Page 20 and do the indicated task.
Answer Assessment part on Page 21. Do it on a separate sheet of paper.
