To my students, here are your learning tasks you need to accomplish for the second week of the first quarter for the subject Creative Writing. You will learn diction and figures of speech. Before answering, check the quantity and quality of the distributed Self- Learning Module, Alternative Instruction Resource (AIR) material, and handout. Report if there are missing pages or unreadable parts.
Proceed to Page 4 and read Using Appropriate Diction. Then, read the handout about diction. After reading all the materials, answer Enrichment Activity 3: Say the Difference. Answer also the task included in the handout.
For figures of speech, proceed to Page 23 of your SLM. Read What I Need to Know for the objective you need to attain.
Answer the Self- Audit Activity on Page 23. Write your answer on a separate sheet of paper.
Answer What’s New Activity on Page 24. Write your answer on a separate sheet of paper.
Have a close reading of the poem, Auto Wreck by Karl Shapiro on Pages 24 to 25. Answer the questions found in the Deeper Look of What’s More portion, Page 30. Write your answers in a separate sheet of paper.
Read What is It to know more about Figures of Speech from Page 25 to 29.
Answer the Assessment part from Page 31 to 32. Choose five figures of speech only.
