The Office of the Undersecretary of Finance of the Department of Education released a memorandum (OUF-2020-167) issued to all regional directors, schools division superintendents, heads of finance divisions/units and all others concerned about the advisory on the release and payment for the Fiscal Year 2020 cash allowance to teachers dated May 4, 2020.
In the said memorandum, public elementary and secondary school teachers will receive Three Thousand Five Hundred Pesos (Php 3,500.00) for purchasing of teaching supplies and materials for the School Year 2020- 2021. The teachers will receive the said allowance in June 2020.
The memorandum indicated that the Central Office shall issue a separate policy guidelines on the grant of the said allowance according to the Learning Continuity Plan of the department. DepEd has been doing steps to prepare the teachers in the new normal in education due to coronavirus pandemic.
