The Value of Education | A Manuscript Speech

This speech was written and delivered by Ara Mae Agao during The Speech 2019, a classroom- based competition under the subject Oral Communication in Context. 

To our beloved principal Dr. Esmenia Celeste, to our subject teacher, Sir Carl John Carolino, to my fellow classmates and students of Tondol National High School, good morning.

The topic of my speech is education. Through my speech, I would let you know all about the value of education and its contribution to our lives. Our teacher tries their best to make us learn. Our teacher comes in our life to help us to find a beautiful career in this large world.

Education is not about to gain only knowledge however it means learning the way to live in society, learning the way to tackle challenges. It makes us strong internally and gives lots of confidence by making our personality and giving us knowledge. Good education is only way to remove bad habits, poverty, inequality, gender, discrimination and other social issues.

Education plays a significant role to design your future as a successful citizen in the society. More knowledge and degree, there will be more opportunities for you to accelerate your professional and personal growth in life. Education is important because it gives a different perspective in life and establishes a personal opinion after analyzing the situation. It teaches us the manners of living.

The key to success usually depends on the persons. So if a person wants a divine success than education is compulsory. The thing that strikes me about education is knowledge acquired. Education gives us the perspective of the things around. Education helps us to look at our lives and learn from every experience. Education is important for the economic growth of the country.

Education also builds self- esteem and how you view yourself. It is never too late to get an education. Once you gained a good education it opens the doors for various opportunities. When you start understanding its importance, you will experience a great change in your life.

After improving your skills through education, you may reach your vision and dreams. You can start achieving a certificate, diploma, and degree. So, you can start from the bottom to the top. Once you invest your time and money, in your education you will reap the huge reward what will give you in life.

                

In this way, you feel that you are doing the very enjoyable thing to get success in your life .I believed that “The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you’ll go.”
