The request of the teachers for them to receive Performance- Based Bonus for the fiscal year 2018 has been granted. In the press release posted in the Department of Education website, school- based personnel are now eligible to get the said incentive which is based on employee's performance and contribution in the agency he or she belongs.
Weeks ago, the Department appealed to the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) for the reconsideration the bureaucracy to be eligible to claim the bonus. The AO25 Inter- Agency Task Force reviewed the agency's accomplishments and compliance in the fiscal year. The task force granted the 2018 PBB for all teaching and non- teaching personnel in public elementary and secondary schools across the archipelago. The department is required to submit school level performance and ranking. The documents will serve as basis for funding.
DepEd Secretary Leonor Magtolis- Briones thanked the DBM, Civil Service Commission, and the staff in the department who worked for the granting of the incentive. On the other hand, the department is working for the non- school-based personnel to be eligible to receive the said benefit.
